Cobi Moules and his upcoming exhibition, New Kid on the Block, were featured on New York's favorite news channel, NY1, this morning with Stephanie Simon and her segment titled Your Weekend Starts Now!. Fahamu Pecou has a new show up in Atlanta, GA at The National Center for Civil and Human Rights. The exhibition, Talking Drum, will be open through August 20, 2016. If you are in Atlanta any time before then, please stop by and take a look at the show! The center's hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. In celebration of Valentine's Day, President's Day, and best of all, the Palm Springs Modernism Week, we will be featuring works by Alex Couwenberg, Jae Yong Kim, James Austin Murray, Jeff Muhs, Edie Nadelhaft, and Mark Zimmermann. We are extremely excited to announce that artist Fahamu Pecou, has been commissioned to create four murals throughout the MARTA rail system in Atlanta, GA that will explore issues of access, mobility and public transportation. The first installation will be at the King Memorial MARTA Station, followed by Oakland City MARTA Station, Hamilton E. Holmes MARTA Station, and a forth station to be named on a later date. Lyons Wier Gallery is proud to announce that artist, Chris Cosnowski has been selected to participate in the upcoming juried group show, Art by America: A National Review of Two-Dimensional Contemporary Art, and has won The Juror's Award. The show, curated by James Yood and Ginny Voedisch, will be on display at The Art House in Chicago, Illinois, from June 1-30, 2015.

Lyons Wier Gallery opens The MAYFAIR Exhibition on April 23rd, 2015. This survey exhibition of gallery artists offers local and international visitors who make the May art fair pilgrimage each year a chance to view our stable of artists that would have otherwise been presented within the confines of an art fair booth. Lyons Wier Gallery is proud to announce that artist, Stephanie Hirsch has been selected to be an artist in residence at P3 Studio in The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, in partnership with The Art Production Fund. Stephanie's show, #LightSeeker, will help guests explore how personal energies, dark and light, manifest themselves in the world, visually as well as through written and spoken words, and how belief can be used as a force for change. In conjunction with Wifredo Lam: Imagining New Worlds, the HIGH Museum of Art will present two solo exhibitions by leading contemporary American artists Jose Parla and Fahamu Pecou. In their concurrent exhibitions, on view February 14 through May 24, 2015, Brooklyn-based Parla and Atlanta-based Pecou will respond to the work of Lam, providing contemporary perspectives on his life and career. Lyons Wier Gallery is pleased to present Glosley as our featured artist at Volta NY this year, March 6-9, 2014. Volta NY is an invitational show of emerging solo artists' projects and a showcase for relevant art contemporary positions. Positioning historically and culturally significant subjects within a strongly visceral and highly textured figurative expressionism, Glosley's paintings reflect the emotional complexity shaping his relationship to these figures through a portraiture that is at once provocative, grotesque and deeply reverent.
